sans Motivation

With no motivation, and lack of discipline I've gone a full week without lifting so much as a bicep.

Yes, last week, I manged to do perhaps three days total, but that all seems so far away. It had been so long since belly dancing, that I literally forgot the steps. I had to learn them all over again. Depressing. Then I tried ballet without the assistance of a chair for balance support, and I'm pretty sure that's why my knees have been sore all week. I then popped in Cardio Hula which of course did me dirty, because I wasn't used to jumping for a while. Talk about high impact. Crap.

Thinking big, but acting small is a legitimate recipe for consistent failure. Summer seems too close now, and self defeating thoughts are racking my brain. How will I summon the energy to say enough is enough, "put down the chicken!"

  1. dear love of my life,

do resistance training, not cardio. when you do muscle toning in the morning it increases your metabolism for the rest of the day enabling you to continually burn calories at a higher rate, as opposed to trying to burn them off in a 300 calorie per hour aerobic work out. secondly, pick up the chicken! eat the chicken and all the veggies you want. put down the carbs. start by creating a food diary of what you eat every day. use my-calorie-counter.com so you can get how many carbs, how much protein, and fat you have in your diet everyday. then try to cut out all the carbs. its impossible because carbs are in everything, but if the carbs you're eating are coming from green veggies instead of potatoes (which are the devil by the way) then your body will burn them instead of converting them to fat for storage. i eat less than 50 carbs per day. yes i slip up but every day is a new day. go big or go home, we have a beach to be on in a very short amount of time so get it together! i am also going to start swimming laps soon. after my muscle worksouts and on days i want to be less active. you can do it! we both can. i fell off the wagon for a while but I'm back on it with renewed vigor. i expect you to be too. love you!
